EMTs Nita Yusuf and John Crifasi received top honors during EMS Week for their dedication and involvement with the Fanwood Rescue Squad. Nita was chosen for the Knights of Columbus Shield Award, presented by Captain Ian Lewis. He cited her many call responses and her efforts at filling out our night crews. John was selected as our EMT to receive this year’s Overlook EMS Responder of the Year award. John is also a top responder who has put his heart and soul into the Rescue Squad since joining in 2020. Nita received her award along with other Fanwood and Scotch Plains responders at the Knights of Columbus ceremony at the Scotch Plains Italian-American Club. John was among other regional responders who received their awards at Overlook Medical Center. Congratulations to these two valuable members!
