The Police Athletic League (PAL) football games have the benefit of rescue squad crews on standby just in case someone gets hurt. It doesn’t happen often, but if it does, we are there.

We have been available to standby with an ambulance and crew for large public events all year, but fall is particularly busy. In addition to PAL football, there are the SPFHS home football games, Fanny Wood Day, the Fanwood Health Fair, the Halloween Parade and occasional special events that pop up.

It takes committed volunteers to staff these stand-bys, most of which happen on weekends. Thanks to all our members who step up to serve our community!
