Rescue Squad Life Member George Germinder died at the Center of Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 with his family at his side. He was 92.

George was well known around Fanwood following a life of public service to the town as a police officer, firefighter and rescue squad member.

The Fanwood Rescue Squad extends condolences to the Germinder family.

Because of the pandemic, the family will have a memorial event at a later time.
