Congrats to our 2018 graduates

Congratulations to EMTs Madison Lawton and Nick Routé upon their graduation from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School this week. We hope to see them on calls over the summer and beyond. Good luck, Madison and Nick!

The Fanwood Rescue Squad received a grant of $1,000 from New Jersey American Water at the June 18th Borough Council meeting. Accepting the grant from NJAW’s Manager of Operations Michael Bange (left) was squad president Ed Winsor, accompanied by (left to right) squad members Chrissy O’Connor, Maggie Richard, Lily Hsiao, Nam-June Joe and Steve Siegal.

Congratulations to Bob Kruthers, who was honored June 10th with a luncheon to celebrate his 60 years with the Fanwood Rescue Squad. Bob and Grace, married almost 70 years, were guests at the Carriage House in Fanwood for a catered lunch and cake featuring guests who included current and past squad members, Mayor Mahr, Council members Anthony Carter, Kathy Mitchell and Tom Kranz, Fire Chief John Piccola and Bob and Joann Gurske from the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad. Thanks to Shreya Kachroo and Lisa Walker for the decorations, the photos and the food. Most of all thanks to Bob for being the heart and soul of our organization for more than 60 years!
